I talked to one of the keepers on my last visit and was sad to find out that the red panda had passed. She/he used to be in this exhibit. Hopefully they can get another (hopefully a breeding pair).
@Binturong_Lover149 Red Pandas are still in n the zoo’s long-term plans, and are apparently slated for a new exhibit with the Urails when construction on the “Treetops Trail” begins. I wouldn’t me surprised if a new red panda is transferred within the next three months, but of course, things could change.
