I'm not really sure if I should allow you to guess twice but your second answer is correct ;) Many ZooChatters will reckognize this sign-design style as typical for Berlin Zoo and they have the exact same sign hanging in their Carnivore House.

And like so many of the other "western zoo-sponsored" exhibits at TZ, it's interesting to see many of those same species on exhibit at the donor zoos. The worst example is the new Nocturnal House, built by the Omaha Zoo in order to get access to aye-ayes and other rarities. It is really poorly done (especially from a zoo that has arguably the best nocturnal exhibit in the world).

@reduakari: Have you also been to Tsimbazaza Zoo? The worst part is that two of the aye-ayes living in the died last year due to sanitary reasons. Apparently, the air conditions in their exhibits were really poor and too much moisture got in. During my visit in march 2010 they were during repairs and fixing the leaks in the house.

I certainly hope there are many tourists from Germany, Austria and Switzerland coming to Madagascar, because otherwise there is not much use of this sign! :)

@Baldur: Good one. I don't think that anybody on the whole island even speaks German (except for a few scientists). The signage at the zoo is pretty random but the signs are mostly in Malagasy, French and English.
