Yogyo Aquarium (Shizuoka, Japan)
An individual caught by local fishermen was temporary exhibited at the aquarium, along with the Twin-sailed Salp caught together.This is not a permanent exhibit.

That is so amazing! Was the octopus attached to the salp, and do you know how long these species are usually kept for?

@splendens
Thanks! Yes, this was an amazing exhibit! The staff said that octopus was going in and out of the salp, but I wasn't able to see that.

You can see a photo of it inside here:

The salp deceased in the aquarium in about two weeks, but the octopus was kept for more than a month, and made the record in Japan for keeping this species in captivity.

This species is ocasionally brought to different aquariums in Japan by local fishermen for a temporary exhibit, but usually they will not feed and will die within a few days.
