Tufted deer

Sept. 2012
The specific subspecies of this particular specimen is a Michie's tufted deer (Elaphodus cephalophus michianus)

Thanks for this info ungulate nerd !

No problem vogelcommando!

An interesting way to tell the difference between Michies tufted deer and Western tufted deer is that Western tufted deer are more slender and the tufts are less prominent, Western tufted deer also seem to be darker in color, in fact here is a photo of a Western tufted deer (Elaphodus cephalophus cephalophus) if anyone is interested http://www.zoochat.com/1137/tufted-deer-elaphodus-cephalophus-343072/
