What waterfowl species have been hanging out there recently? I remember when they had some nene geese in here (before the current native wildlife habitat theme, which I think suits it much better).

We used to have Hooded Mergansers, Northern Pintails, and Ruddy Ducks inhabiting this exhibit permanently, but they have been moved to a few other exhibits in the zoo. I have seen wild Mallards, Wood Ducks, and Coots in this exhibit before.

I like the name, Tule Islands, perfectly fitting, especially with Tule elk (Cervus canadensis nannodes) being native to the San Joaquin Valley.
