Existing Polar Bear exhibit refurbished.

So, are they just refurbishing the old exhibit, melding two exhibits for the polar bears into one, or having two yards for them?

Two seperate yards, but refurbishing the old one. The new "feild" will be all grass with a pond and waterfall.

I wonder how the polar bear exhibit will compare to Detroit Zoo's "Arctic Ring of Life"?

IMO I think it might be better, no painted white concrete Although one can't compare, they'll be different styles. Does the rockwork remind anyone of the lion exhibit?

Yess, the rock work look very similar, but these rocks are found all over the arctic region in those fomations as well!

The rocks look like gigantic teeth! Doesn't it appear as if the Toronto Zoo has constructed half of a jaw bone? I'm not complaining...I'm just pointing out the interesting design of the mock-rock.
