Tupelo Buffalo Park - Golden-handed Tamarin enclosure

I didn’t know these were in the private trade! Where did they source the tamarins from?

@AndyJ08 Probably a private breeder? Other non-accredited zoos I've been to that have them include Tennessee Safari Park and Gulf Breeze Zoo.

I’ve always wanted to go to Gulf Breeze, since it’s a 2-hour drive from my house, but we’ve never taken the time to visit. I’ve always heard surprisingly good things about Gulf Breeze.

@AndyJ08 Gulf Breeze is definitely far superior to places like Tupelo

That said, I was expecting it to be much better than it was considering its one of the larger and better-known non-AZA zoos around. I was kind of underwhelmed by a lot of the exhibits, especially their aesthetics, even though most would probably be considered adequate in meeting the basics of the animals.
