Cheetahs love to be able to see across vast distances, and I love the fact that this zoo has given these big cats an opportunity to gain some height in their exhibit.
Indeed, that particular habit of cheetahs was something John Knowles took well into mind when he founded the park in the 70's. This particular enclosure allows views both over the South side (as in the picture) and the West of the zoo, and it is set within a sloped hollow to allow changes of perspective.
