Two species of Sandgrouse (I think)

Taken 26th October 2015
Only signed as Arabian Chestnut bellied Sandgrouse but I think the two sitting on the left area actually male Four-banded Sandgrouse.

Having never seen any Sandgrouse taxon, I am more than a little jealous!

Certainly looks like a 4-banded with those face-markings. I am sorry for TLD but I have recently seen both taxa in the wild in Ethiopia ;)

Three here too - and all in the wild: Chestnut-bellied, Yellow-throated and Black-faced.

:p

Where in the zoo are these kept?

They are in a small shed-like aviary that contains, along with the two sandgrouse species, Spotted Morning Thrush, and Green Woodhoopoe.
It is between the Mine Gallery and the large waterfowl aviary near to the cliffside hoofstock exhibits (marked as ibises). If I remember correctly, it is pretty much directly below the chairlift.
