I rushed past the mammal exhibits and spent time in the avian exhibits, the real treasures of Ueno. I wish they spent more time on native and threatened birds.

Thank you! Indeed, they do have an impressive bird collection. Sad that the Bird House was closed, but I will visit again today and I heard it opened yesterday!
