KEEPER 30 Aug 2010 I agree with Pertinax with the species, but the gender it´s male; because the bill and the eye in the female it´s brown, not red.

DesertRhino150 1 Sep 2010 Having now seen this bird in the wild and looking it up in the guide book, I'd say this is definately an adult male eclipse red-crested pochard.
