Unidentified large mammal (1992)

I was going through some old family home movies from 1992 and I took this screenshot from a family visit to Lincoln Park Zoo. I have no idea what this animal is. The exhibit signage says "capybara," but that is definitely not a capybara.
@PAKMan No problem. The shorter snout is common for that species - if you look through online images of Lowland/Brazilian, you'll see a lot with trunks similar in length to this one.

The snout is probably still quite long, but it's prehensile, so it's just facing forwards towards the camera. It's a bit on the chubby side though!

@mrcriss That's what also made me wonder if it was a tapir or not! Looked too heavy to me. I'm assuming it was probably a recent arrival to the zoo (given the outdated signage) but I wish I knew the history of it!

@mrcriss I knew that the snouts are prehensile and wondered if it was just be tucked in, but I also noticed that many photos of Lowland Tapir show the snouts being that length compared to Baird's. I suppose it could be either; fortunately, the coat color is an identifier for Lowland as well.
