Thanks for that info. I had always wondered but obviously never observed them closely enough to work it out. I always expected them to have 'spectacle' markings around the eyes which of course they don't have.
By the way, you listed the Greater Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (C.g.galerita)at Bali Bird Park but the species they claim to have is C.g.eleonora (labelled as Eleanora's cockatoo) Do they have two species? This smaller bird is also the one they had at the Bali zoo.

Eleonora's is a subspecies of the greater sulphur-crest, so I imagine I probably just wrote "greater sulpur-crest" in my notebook without paying much attention to which subspecies it was.
