Is it a domestic goose?
Thats what I thought too, but Ross's Gesse don't have bright orange legs and beak, do they?

looks like a domestic goose to me. Ross' geese have black primaries, and this bird also looks larger with a domestic shape (if that makes sense)

Full marks Chlidonias; Domestic Goose -- no more a Ross's Goose than i Am. Also, Ross's are tiny, less than half the size of this.

oop's sorry about the snowy, just getting used to trying to ID birds thier are that many and alot look the same

Thanks guys, kind of weird to see a domestic goose in the wild with a flock of Canadians?

see it all the time in NZ and I'd hazard a guess in Europe/UK as well.

To be even more specific I would say that it is an embden or male pilgrim goose. It is not unusual for domestics to tag along, but due to their body size i would think that they would not be able to fly with the flock, thus causing constant change and solitary periods.

Well, In the scandinavian countries - and after an animated tv-serie also in other European countries - there is a well known tale of a Kid called Nils Holgersson. In this tale Nils and a domestic goose (Martin) are joining a flock of wild barnacle(?) geese to attend them on their way to the north.
So according to this tale, domestic geese in flocks of wild geese are not that weird as they seems to be:)
