Unlabelled spider species

Can anybody ID this?

Very possibly (although it's often necessary to use a microscope to confirm spider identities). Size can be a useful clue - can you how big it was JR?

I would also say it is some species of Nephila, a species which 'build' huge webs ! ( I onces walked into one in the Gambia )

I kept a similar species to this mine was golden orb web spider, they make huge webs as vogel commando states, in fact they had the run of my animal shed and on more than one occasion the web was strong enough to catch and remove my woollen hat.
The adult spiders have very crab like legs.
