In looking at your photos before visiting the zoo, something I didn't realize until I was there was that in some of these exhibits the animals can move between the exhibits above the water level. Not all were connected but I noticed two sets of exhibits which were connected and it seemed that only the lizards (caiman lizard, basilisk, etc) could manage to get from one side to the other.

That is an interesting fact, and I enjoy looking at this photo as it shows the breadth of the tanks and creates a flowing, impressive image. The Reptile House at Nashville Zoo, much like the entire establishment, is excellent and arguably one of the best showcases of reptiles and amphibians in any zoo in America.
