Upper Sun Bear Viewing Shelter, Asia Precinct, Wellington Zoo, February 2013.

This is in the same place as the old giraffe viewing platform (and is probably largely the same structure), and looks down over the two sun bear enclosures.

I appreciate what they've tried to do with the viewing structure but it's so garish. It wouldn't look out of place in a kindergarten.

I agree very much, the shelter itself is fine, its just been painted the wrong colours. They could have created a much nicer area by using darker, more natural coloured paint, or having stained wood.
