It was a great year. 5 week trip through South America and Mexico. Then a 2.5 week road trip around Eastern USA (including Shadow Nursery, Omaha, Minnesota, Memphis, Duke Lemur Center, Columbus, Oklahoma & Detroit) trying to visit any of the mammal species I may have missed out on in the past. And also a Florida trip and the lucky accident of finding out about the rescued Risso's Dolphin right here in Long Island! Visited a total of 46 different places.
2010 was even better with a total of 56 places: 30 from a 3 week trip to Europe, 2 trips to Texas (Jentink's Duiker, rhebok, monk seal, fanaloka, yapok), 1 Arizona/Omaha trip, 1 San Diego trip, 2 Days of Whale Watching in Cape Cod, and then Bronx, D.C. & Philly. But I still haven't posted too much from this trip. Intend to get around to it after posting from my latest Asian trip.
In 2013 I visited Cincinnati (two collections) and Tampa/Orlando (two collections) as well as three of the five NYC places. It was my biggest travel year at the time!
