P P Pertinax 27 Jun 2012 Is that Flatholm Island? Geologically I think its a tiny outlier of the Mendip Hills stuck out in the Bristol Channel. Going eastwards Brean Down outside Weston is the next link in the 'chain' and then the Mendips proper.

B B Bele 27 Jun 2012 Judging by the shape , this is more likely to be Steep Holm which seems to be more directly facing , and closer to Weston , according to my map .
