View inside walk in Pallas Cat enclosure

I think this was accidentally posted in the wrong forum. It is listed in the UK forum, but it is very sunny in this photo, so that cannot be right. :p

It's a bloody nice enclosure in my opinion :)
It is by why they couldn't have done something use a window in place of a water moat is beyond me,as they would have come very close then!
I too agree that it's a great enclosure, although I'd have to disagree about the window; I find it very refreshing -- and indeed breathtaking on occasions -- to be able to view a small cat species such as this at pretty close range (I'm guessing two metres or perhaps less) with neither wire mesh nor glass between the occupants and myself. :)

Even a dry moat would have been quite good - some of the "Eurasian fauna" exhibits at Magdeburg Zoo are along very similar lines to this enclosure, including the Eurasian Eagle Owl, Red Kite and Carpathian Lynx enclosures, and all use a dry moat with no mesh or glass between the visitor and occupant.
