View of mixed savanna

This enclosure houses Grevy’s zebra, common ostrich, roan antelope and northern giraffe.
Looks like a wondrous exhibit, although I must confess that I am not too impressed by the species lineup. For me, a savannah without any rhinos will be a little lacking in awe factor; I am aware that Chester keeps Black Rhinos nearby, but for me mixed-species savannah bring out the best of rhinos, visually, and vice versa; would be amazing if one day Chester would acquire a third rhino species, Whites, and put them on this savannah. I also cannot help but wish for a few more antelope species, and ideally some rarer ones!

@Kalaw Don't agree with you on the rhinos but maybe something like oryx (which were held in the area at some point in the past) could join the mix? I'm not sure what other species lived in the paddocks in this area before the construction work but one or two more hoofstock species could definitely add something to this exhibit, particularly as I'm not sure the zebra and roan antelope herds are that big.
It also looks like Heart of Africa as a whole will be much improved (at least visually) when the planting is grown in and more established.

@Rajang-GOAT There were sitatunga and bongo here originally. Neither would really fi. I think ideally I'd like to see a smaller species like impala.

To be honest I can't really imagine rhinos here.
