View of Rímac river - Parque Zoológico Huachipa

Rímac (modern form of writing) is the river from wich the name of Peru's capital came from. With time, the original form "Rimaq" and it's pronunciation evolved to "Limaq", until gradually transformed by the spanish language to Lima. The zoo has an excellent viewing point to one of the river's falls.
