7 January 2018, at Lotherton Hall. Home to Brazilian Tapir (Tapirus terrestris) and Capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris), with the viewing for the penguin enclosure behind.
Is that a mini-mountain for the Capybara to trek up? Is that rock pile a simulation of the mighty Andes? To be honest the rock-work looks fine but it is totally incongruous in this setting.
It certainly seemed a little unnecessary and a little out of place - it is of the same style as the neighbouring penguin enclosure, and when viewed from the viewing area visible in this picture it seems to fit in a bit better.
