This building had been given a coat of paint and new sign as have most,of the other buildings,I think it actually looks pretty good for a very basic,no thrills look!

Is this house still on a pre-booked tour only basis? The new look must be doing wonders because when I was there I walked past it several times without noticing it and only went looking when it got close to my scheduled time.

No, it is the Tropical House you're thinking about being the one which is only accessible via the tours.
This house is the one further up the path towards the elephants which used to contain the Woolly Monkeys (Which have now left and replaced by Spider Monkeys).
Nope that house is the Tropical House, and yes you still have to pre-book,which to my mind is plain stupid, given the fcat that, when we did the 11 am tour yesterday they had the grand total of 9 people turn up for it!!!!
Thanks for clearing that up. I was having a hard time placing it.
With the Woolly monkeys gone maybe it's time that they change the name to The World Ape Centre because it seems a fair few groups of primates are left out completely.

Some of us said that to the director that has just left, when she boldly annouced that they were going to call themselves that, and pointed out that a place in Japan had more species than Twycross did!!!I will not repeat her reply!!
