15 October 2016, ZSL Whipsnade Zoo. Home to Common Hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibious) and Western Pygmy Hippopotamus (Choeropsis liberiensis liberiensis).
When I first saw the Common Hippo paddocks I hadn't seen that many exhibits to compare them to and I thought they were fairly poor. Tellingly now that I have I actually think this is some of the better holding space around.
The indoor pool isn't obviously.
