Visayan Warty Pigs

This pair is in the former Red Kangaroo yard.
Interesting, I knew we didn't have anymore Red Kangaroos, but I didn't think they would move them here. I don't like this move considering the Australia section was one of the last remaining sections of the zoo that stayed true to it's geographical location. Oh well, at least I'll finally be able to take a proper picture of this magnificent species!
 
And maybe it's just temporary. But true, the photo ops are much better here. And the good news, just like the Babirusas, Red River Hogs, and the Chacoan Peccaries, the LA Zoo's Visayan Warty Pigs are in the mist of a population boom.

Hopefully they are just temporary, specially since it looks like these two are surplus males.

Also, all the zoo needs are Bornean Bearded Pigs and Eurasian Wild Pigs and the collection would be complete!
