Overview of the recently renovated vivarium. To the left is the piranha aquarium and in the back a termite mound can be seen. Adjacent to this termite mound are enclosures for rhinoceros iguana and chuckwalla & colorado toad. The termite mound was built by termites kept in Bern, but I believe this colony has died out, another species of termite can still be seen in the vivarium. This mound was supposedly also the first mound in captivity that was completely built by the termites themselves.
