Waiting to board the ride at Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin at SeaWorld Orlando on August 31, 2014.
I believe the ride is compulsory in order to view the penguin exhibit, but I could be wrong. The ride itself is fairly short and uneventful. You basically board a computer-controlled vehicle which guides you through a simulated arctic environment, spinning towards projection screens so that you can watch an animated movie on a penguin chick named Puck taking its first dives into the sea. At the end of the ride, you are then led towards the penguin live animal exhibit.
