Water moat of the Asiatic Lion exhibit

According to my book 'Zoo: The Story of London Zoo'', soon after the terraces opened a lioness thought the duckweed was grass, promptly jumping only to find water! Panicked, she swam rapidly to the wall and started climbing the ivy that used hang over completely. Luckilly keepers were on head to distract her back to land and cut the ivy; it's always been short since then!

I think they could still get over that wall, it only looks about 6 foot tall.
