Wellington Tree Weta (Hemideina crassidens)

December 2018
This is what is known as a "weta hotel". A fake tree hollow behind glass (with a door covering it which can be opened to view the weta) where the weta spend the day. At night they go out the exit hole at the top (where a weta is halfway out).
