I really wish we would stop breeding them. It's a huge exhibit we could re-purpose for takin or markhor who actually would be of value to their respective SSPs.
There are other spaces but they would need a lot of fence reinforcement. There has been talk of Takin but it is on the shelf for the moment.
Another reason for keeping Tur - they really engage children because they can get very close to them, and there is always something going on in there. That includes head-butting, climbing the "mountain", babies, getting right into the hay wagons, and all 20 or so suddenly running over to one side.
