What i mean when i say "western part" is that skansen is mainly an outdoor museum and is arranged so the old historical houses form a miniature Sweden. For example,in the north part of skansen you find sapmi yurts and swedish breeds, like jämtgoa native to the northern parts of the country. And in the south you'll find buildings from Gotland and Scania with breeds like scania geese, linderöd pigs and gute sheep. So by this way,you can use the historical buildings as a sort of "natural compass".
