This aviary has since been demolished for the construction of the new elephant valley, the main part of which will be a new two hectare exhibit for the African elephant breeding herd.
The birds have been moved to different other aviaries at the Beekse Bergen. The elephant valley project will include a new 2,200 m² aviary for secretary birds, weavers and hoopoes.
