@Summer Tanager It was a very nice aviary, it's sad it had to go for the elephant expansion. But given they essentially have two elephant herds (breeding and non-breeding) and that their breeding herd is expected to expand soon, with three pregnant elephant cows, the expansion is in my opinion needed.

I just hope the new aviary will also be nicely put together, although given the announced species for that one (secretary bird, weavers and hoopoes) I think that one will have more of a savanna/shrubland theme.
 
I'm sure that Beekse Bergen will build a fantastic new aviary. The whole zoo is of a very high standard, much like all the best zoos in the Netherlands.
