Nice species, never seen it. Several years ago plans were made to bring a group to Europe. Does anyone know why this was canceled and are there still plan to bring some to the western world ?

yes, the plan to take them to Europe was never cancelled completely, the problem was that the colombian environment ministry never gave the exportation permits, as they state that no native animals should leave the country. But the project is still running, although very slowly.

Well, carlos, the sad truth is that you are correct, most colombian zoos are getting filled up with confiscated animals. many of them are parrots or tamarins, such as this one.
