The Detroit Zoo made the somewhat infamous decision to stop exhibiting elephants a few years ago, as the giant pachyderms did not fare well in the cold Michigan winters. I'm not sure if white rhinos are a hardier species, but they have been in this enclosure ever since the elephants Wanda and Winky left.
