This spacious exhibit, with its well-hidden fence lines, held African wild dogs during my visit in the summer of 2010. According to the zoo there are now cheetahs in the Wild Africa section of the park and since I cannot find any news about a brand-new exhibit I was curious whether or not the cats replaced the dogs. Does anyone know?
The African Wild Dogs got moved into a brand new exhibit right across form the mexican gray wolves this summer. The exhibit works quite well with glass viewing near some dense underbrush that the dogs were sitting under when I went there this past summer.
