This is probably the only feline exhibit at the zoo that is appropriate for the species. For example, the tiger enclosure has very little to no shade, while the cougars and snow leopards are in cages that are definitely too small with hardly any enrichment or furnishings. I'm not expecting Zurich or Kolmarden quality snow leopard zoo habitats, but something better than a raccoon-sized exhibit would suffice.
@snowleopard If every non-AZA place had a cheetah exhibit this big, I'd be immensely happy! They only have one animal, as well. As the couple of ZAA places continue to crank out cubs, they're ending up in worse and worse facilities. The tigers and lions at least have huge yards, and both had access to indoors while I was there. Those both do need more enrichment.
