I visited today and had my first look at the New exhibit. I thought this was the strangest viewing area I have ever seen for rhino! Does anywhere else try to hide their rhino behind assorted twigs & rope??

Yes it is a bit odd, I can only think it is to provide the rhino with some screening from the public, and provide the animals some seclusion whilst they settle in, they have only just moved up to the new house, including the new male.
It may also have been put up in order to "bulk up" the physical barrier, if it was deemed to be a little too vulnerable to the rhinos attentions ?
