I don't know why there was a pile of dead day-old chicks in the corner of this enclosure.
The whole pile must have contained more than 100 chicks and measured about 80 cm square, so only part of it is shown here. I saw the cranes take one each, several wild storks took them and then flew off, so did a grey heron and a black-headed gull.
