Wolf Pack Woods

Aug. 9th, 2012.
This exhibit is home to two very old arctic wolves. As of now they generally don't show themselves and possible will go anytime now.

I don't believe there are many plans to replace the wolves in this exhibit. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure there phase out species. Or at least a non interest one. This exhibit and the remainder of the Hoof stock paddocks to the North will be replaced with Asian Temperate Forest in a couple more years. Documents are showing that the old plan was to build rotational enclosures for Siberian tiger, Amur leopard, Pallas' cat, and Asian lynx but I'm not sure as of now if they still plan to hold some of those species. Theres been a revision in the plan so it's now being re drawn.

Did any of these plans come to fruition? Would be sad to see this space not hold wolves as it looks great!
