@Dr. Loxodonta Cheers! I shoot Sony and have an A9 and an A1, both full frame. They are professional level cameras but you can get them second hand at a far cheaper price when latest cameras come out and pros trade in, which is what I did. The lens I always have at Whipsnade is the Sony 200-600mm (which I also use for bird photos at nature reserves and all that) and it's a lovely bit of glass. For other zoos it's either the Tamron 150-500mm or the Sony 100-400mm depending and I've also taken the 70-200mm on occasion.
