The Wombat 'burrows" they suposed sleeping quarters. I was here say 9am , and no wombats sleeping, had all been dragged out for the viewing public.
The litter was only say 10-15cm deep, not allowing the wombats to burrow in, the get out of the harsh light.

what are you winging about ben! they have a rock what more could a wombat want?

I'd like to add,
The wombats have no way of getting away from people and hiding in bedding or even in the dark.
This is one of the worst wombat enclosures i have ever seen. It may look appealing but does not fully meet the wombats needs, and their major need the need to dig! Australia Zoo staff supervise the wombats while on exhibit to stop them digging.
It would be interesting the see how the claws of the animals are, something I forgot to note, not being able to dig can cause extreme growth in them.
