That looks like an amazing exhibit, what a stunning backdrop - doesn't look like an exhibit at all. Is it as huge as it looks in this photo? How many bison are in the herd?
I believe the AWCC holds 130+ Bison (pending the release of many of them into the wild); the animals are divided amongst a few paddocks. The enclosures are pretty large and the AWCC has some first rate educational signs. The fencing, landscaping, and architecture that are part of the "Zoological Garden" presentation at many zoos does not factor here. Though they are working on it.
