According to the zoo's website, there are no Wood Ducks in the main free-flight aviary, but I can find no other matches for what this bird could be. Perhaps they didn't include Wood Duck in the website?

There's nothing else it seems it could be. The zoo doesn't list Bontebok on their site and they're there. And the zoos till lists species not found at the zoo anymore. And I've never seen a zoo that lists every single species kept on their site. It probably just wasn't added to the site.
Not possible. The Free-Flight Aviary is a big, enclosed, mostly mess structure so I can't be how a wild Wood Duck could get in with ease. Especially since this is towards the center of the aviary.

Never underestimate the ability of wild birds to sneak into walk-thorugh aviaries (though a simple not-up-to-date stocklist is also very possible, of course!).

hehe that's true. The thing is you have to go through a heavy doors and thick, heavy straps to get in and to get both in and out you must go through a darker room.
