September 2008. Brilliant enclosure for a couple of grizzlies, including a large pool stocked with fish.

Is this the best bear exhibit in North America?

I dont think it will for much longer...

Detroit and Minnesota certainly have a shot at this "honor."

I'd have to agree that Detroit (#1), Woodland Park (#2) and Minnesota (#3) contain the top 3 bear exhibits in North America. Arctic Ring of Life is amazing, Northern Trail is another award-winner that has stood the test of time, and Russia's Grizzly Coast is less than a year old but hugely impressive.
