Even though the pair of orangutan enclosures at the Woodland Park Zoo are amongst the best of their kind in North America, I still feel as if they lack climbing structures for this arboreal ape. On one hand it is fantastic to see an orang habitat that appears to be totally naturalistic and without fake metal poles everywhere. Better for the orangs? That's a tough call, but the realism is what the Woodland Park Zoo has stood for during the past 30 years.
