@Onychorhynchus coronatus True thing. At my first visit to it, the three main enclosures of this nocturnal house were geographical: Africa, Australia and South America. Later on, the zoo mixed the species more and more. Woylies, potoroos, agoutis, giant jumping rats were kept together with night monkeys in the first and largest enclosure (not sure about African brushtail porcupine, that species might have been in the second or third enclosure at that time, but it was for sure in the first/African enclosure earlier) at my last visit.
@AWP That is an incredible mix of endangered rodents and small marsupials ! I'm astounded but then again is it really so suprising that this mixed species exhibit would work ? I mean they are all very gentle animals.
@Onychorhynchus coronatus I don't know anything about this particular mix, but I have heard of agoutis injuring and even killing tamarins and marmosets in captivity before.
