Is this species common in aquariums? I had never heard of it before this exhibit.

I unexpectedly saw one at Underwater world in Singapore last year. I've never come across any others.

He had some for sale last summer. Maybe this is where this animal was sourced from.

I saw one of these at Berlin sealife centre at the start of April. Never seen any others before.

It looks like the wunderpus was first discovered in the mid-1980s and occasionally in captivity from that time onwards. The species was only formally described in 2006.

In the originaly discription it even is mentioned that one of the specimens used for the discription was obtained from commercial fish-collectors !
Even so, it is realy rare in captivity and sofar, I've never seen it !
