Xenotilapia ornatipinnis is a mouthbrooding species which lives in sandy areas of Lake Tanganyika. They spawned several times in my tank, but I did not raise any fry. I was hopeful of doing so, but I gave my shoal to a friend because I was offered an even rarer species.
